Neutron stars are more common in globular clusters than in the rest of the galaxy. Astronomers now discovered two new neutron stars with rapid spin in globular cluster NGC 6440.
Stars in clusters are born at the same time and from the same material. However astronomers sometimes find more than one population of stars in these star groups. That might be caused by binary stars mergers.
Only about 10 % of variable cepheid stars can be found in clusters. This is one of the results of simulations created by czech astronomers. They furthermore revealed that if cepheid is found in a cluster it is likely a massive one.
Chemical and dynamical analysis of binary stars orbiting center of Milky Way on retrograde orbit might come from one place - the biggest globular cluster in our galaxy Omega Centauri.
