Atmosphere of newly discovered very hot exoplanet TOI-1518 b contains iron

Newly discovered exoplanet TOI-1518 b is twice as large as Jupiter and according to a spectroscopic analysis contains iron in its atmosphere. In a new study scientists note, that only a few hot large exoplanets with iron have been found so far.

The star TOI-1518 (also TIC 427761355 or BD+66 1610) is almost 2 times bigger than the Sun and is located 742 light years away.
