The most extreme helium star: HD 144941 is giant and devoid of hydrogen

New analysis of star HD 144941 in distance of 5 100 light years shows its peculiar composition. It already was thought to be a part of rare class of stars and now it seems it is even more extreme. The star has a very high ratio of helium which makes it extreme helium star. On top of that it also has unussual abundance of other elements like carbon - 4 times more than other extreme helium stars.
