Exoplanet discovered in nearby binary system EQ Pegasi (GJ 896)

By measuring slight movements of the star EQ Pegasi astronomers led by Salvador Curiel discovered new exoplanet orbiting it. It is currently 37th closest planetary system. The exoplanet EQ Pegasi Ab (GJ 896 Ab) is bigger than Jupiter and orbits the star in 284 days. EQ Pegasi is now the first binary star with detailed stellar and planetary orbits.
