
Nearby star Gliese 3146 can be found in northern celestial hemisphere, however it is too dim to be seen with the naked eye or even a small telescope. Gliese 3146 is much smaller than the Sun and temperature in its outer envelope is around 3312 K (3039 °C), which is about 57 % of Suns temperature.
Red dwarfs are small reddish stars, that are by far the most common type of star in solar neighborhood. Their mass is usually between 10 and 50 % of solar mass.
