
Nearby star L 89-27 can be found in southern celestial hemisphere, however it is too dim to be seen with the naked eye or even a small telescope. L 89-27 is about 40 % of the size of Sun and temperature in its outer envelope is around 3487 K (3214 °C), which is about 60 % of Suns temperature.
Red dwarfs are small reddish stars, that are by far the most common type of star in solar neighborhood. Their mass is usually between 10 and 50 % of solar mass.
